STEPN Strategy Guide: How to Gain 10x of Your Investment

On our website, we have already looked at a popular project like the Move-to-Earn game STEPN. In this article, we will describe in detail how to increase your investment.
STEPN tokenomics
To understand how to get the most out of your investment in STEPN, you need to break down the tokenomics of the project.
Every project has its internal token for user interaction. Occasionally, there can be more than one token in a project. The STEPN project has two such tokens:
Currently, the GMT token is not used in the game. It can be bought on the exchange, but cannot be spent because all operations within the project (upgrading sneaker levels, mincing “crossing two sneakers to create a third”, opening boxes, buying and setting gems) are done in GST.

The GMT token will definitely be used for sneaker crossing, but the developers are keeping the rest of the application scenarios for this token under wraps. And that's not just for fun. By doing so, the game creators have secured the economy and protected GST from collapse when GMT goes public by hiding its purpose.
The moment the secret is revealed, and we find out what the GMT is for, the demand for the token will increase. As demand increases, so will the exchange rate of the token.
At the time of writing, the token value is as follows GMT is worth £3.25 and GST £5.49
But you have to keep in mind that the value of a GMT token is higher, and its quantity is smaller than GST, which means GMT will be worth more than GST eventually.
Also note that the calculation of tokenomics is based on determining parameters such as

Earning only by running
If you want to buy sneakers just for running, then 1 regular sneaker is enough for you. This is an option for those who just want to try.
The return on such an investment is 3-4 months, provided you don't purchase additional GST at the start to pump up the level of the sneaker.
If you buy 20-40 GST to level up your sneaker faster, you can make between £15-£20 per day for 10 minutes of running at level 9. This will reduce the payback period to 1-2 months.
The payback calculation is as follows.
The total investment is £1,069.27. Six days would be spent pumping up to level 9 trainers, which means an income of £25-30 per day. If we take 35 days and a maximum earning potential of £30 per day, and add in the six days spent on sneakers, we estimate a full payback of 41 days.
Thereafter, you will reach a steady income. However, it is possible to earn some money straight away. To do so, you need to sell sneakers upgraded to level 9. These sneakers start at 13.5 SOL, which will pay back your costs and bring you some income.
As we can see, earning by running alone is the simplest STEPN strategy.
STEPN Shoe Minting
One of the most successful STEPN strategies is minting. A Shoe-Minting Event (SME) is obtaining a new pair of shoes using the two sneakers a player already has. Sneakers that can be used for a Shoe-Minting Event must meet the following conditions:
Any sneakers besides rented shoes will do for a mint. Each pair can be used up to seven times to make a new sneaker. The easiest way to minting is to use regular (common) sneakers.
Before mincing sneakers, make sure you have enough GST tokens in your account. The first and second mines cost 200 GST for regular grey sneakers. Subsequent SMEs cost between 300 and 800 GST.
To create new sneakers, press the Mint button on the home screen, select the first pair and press Mint.

Then select the second pair and press “confirm”.

If the second pair is missing from the screen, it is likely that some prerequisite has not been met, e.g., the pair has not been repaired or is in a cooling-off period.
If both pairs are successfully added, you will see the cost of the procedure.
To start the sneaker creation process, press Mint. A few seconds after pressing, you will see a closed box with the 'rarity' of the shoe underneath. The box can be opened immediately (Open now) or later (Click to collect).
Once the mine is finished, the shoes will have a cooling-off period of 48 hours. During this time, you will be able to use them for jogging, upgrading attributes and repairs, but it will not be possible to create new pairs with them.
All the sneakers that you use while creating a new pair of shoes will remain in your account. The only thing they will change is their Mint rating. If you plan to create and resell NFT trainers, choose pairs with a Mint value of 1-2 at the time of purchase. For earning money from jogging, the Mint is irrelevant.
You can get sneakes worth up to 5,000 GBP as a result of the minting.

STEPN best strategy
Which is the best strategy in STEPN? It all depends on the user's personal preferences. If you just want to run for fun, while providing yourself with a stable daily income, then the option of earning only from running is suitable for you. Yes, your income is unlikely to be high in this way, but in this case, you will get money only by doing your daily workouts.
But if you want to earn quite a lot of money, pay attention to mincing. This method requires more time, as you will need to pump more sneakers. However, the income will also be significantly higher than just earning STEPN from running.
Conclusion
As you can see from the article, there are several ways to make money in STEPN. If you just want to run for fun, and you want a small but steady daily income, a running-only income option is the way to go. But if you want to earn quite a lot of money, look at minting.
Disclaimer
Play-and-earn games can be highly risky due to price volatility. It is worth remembering that the tokens used by STEPN are not only in-game currency, but also cryptocurrency traded on an exchange. This type of investment requires a balanced approach. Gamers' investment in the game could suffer. We do not encourage you to invest your money in such products, and we are not responsible for any money lost. All investments you make are at your own risk.
