French fashion brand Lacoste has launched its NFT collection called UNDW3. This way, the company aims to form a community in order to find a new way of interacting with customers.
In preparation for the launch of the NFT collection, the brand launched the Discord server a week ago. In the first two days, 30,000 users have signed up to it.
The collection features 11,212 NFTs. Such a number hints at the brand's L1212 polo. The token will be priced at 0.08 ETH (or 68.53 GBP).
The company's press release says that collectors will have access to an ecosystem and products created exclusively for them.
Earlier, several fashion companies announced that they will start accepting cryptocurrency payments. These include brands such as Farfetch, Gucci, Balenciaga, Tag Heuer and Off White. Prada has also announced the launch of its own NFT collection, Timecapsule.
Kering's digital director Gregory Butte said that web3 and NFT are a real breakthrough. Fashion companies continue to enter the crypto market despite its recent downturn.
