Huobi Global's Major Shareholder Completes Share Sale

Huobi founder sold a controlling stake in the company

The founder of cryptocurrency exchange Huobi, Leon Lee, has sold his controlling stake in the company to Hong Kong-based investment company About Capital.

According to a statement, the sale "will not affect Huobi's core business." The company also plans to "undertake a number of new international branding and business expansion initiatives in the future."

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Earlier, it was reported that Leon Lee had been trying to sell his share of the stock since early August.
