Blockchain.com launches Visa debit card with cashback in crypto

Cryptocurrency exchange Blockchain.com has joined the likes of Crypto.com, Ripio, Bitso, Coinbase, Bitpay, Blockfi and FTX in announcing the launch of a cryptocurrency Visa card. The announcement was made on Twitter.

The card will allow users to pay with cryptocurrency or fiat, giving 1% back on every purchase. Among the advantages of the card is not only the cashback, but also the fact that the card can be opened for free and there are no annual fees.

Blockchain.com CEO Peter Smith said: "As one of the oldest and most trusted crypto platforms, we are very excited to make this move. Cryptocurrency will become easy to use in the real world and accessible to people."

According to the company, about 50,000 people have signed up for the waiting list. Blockchain.com also added that the card will not only be available in the U.S. in 2023.
